This month the late President Cory Aquino’s daughters step into the limelight in a coup of a different kind—a casting coup for what seemed to be an impossible dream magazine cover. Publicity-shy daughters Ballsy, Pinky and Viel were reluctant when first asked to pose for the cover of Town & Country’s November issue. But they later relented, even if they were nervous about facing the daunting (to vanity-free women like them at least) challenge of getting glamorized and “exposed” in a manner unfamiliar to them.

Veteran broadcaster Korina Sanchez and Senator Mar Roxas became an item in 2004. They finally tied the knot five years later on what could be called the "Wedding of the Year." Ten bishops and priests attended the wedding Mass, led by Jaro Archbishop Angel Lagdameo, Sorsogon Bishop Angel Valera, and Bishop Raul Martin of Quezon City. Father Tito Caluag officiated the mass that started about 4:45 p.m.

Korina had handwritten her vow in Filipino. Sen. Mar held his typewritten vow, which described his bride as "precious" to him. She told him poetically: "...ikaw ang patunay na ang pangarap ay nagaganap. Ikaw ang minimithi ng aking puso. Ikaw ang napili kong maging kasama at katabi sa buhay. Pinapangako ko sa 'yo na ako ay sa 'yo noon, ngayon at bukas, ako'y iyong-iyo."


The groom looked extremely happy and very much in love, kissing Korina's hand and forehead from time to time.

The guest list included: Vice President Noli de Castro, Chief Justice Reynato Puno, Sen. Benigno "Noynoy"Aquino III, former President Joseph Estrada, Ballsy-Aquino Cruz, former Senatory and NEDA chief Ralph Recto, US Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenney, former Senate President Franklin Drilon, Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste, PNRC Governor Rosa Rosal, and former Senator Jovito Salonga.

Angel Locsin reveals that it has been four months since her breakup with Luis Manzano. But the actress refuses to divulge details about it. "Hindi na ako magbibigay ng ibang detalye. Tama na nasabi ko na yun. Si Luis nga, hindi nagko-comment sa nangyayaring ito sa amin. So, respetuhin na lang natin. Kung siya nga hindi nagsasalita, ako, ayoko na ring magsalita," she says.
